Meet Sarah
Greetings! I'm Sarah, and my life's work revolves around teaching and learning. I'm incredibly passionate about this field, and I strive to share my enthusiasm with as many people as possible. My belief is that education is a lifelong journey that extends beyond the classroom or any degree.
With over two decades of experience in PreK-12 and higher education, I've acquired valuable insights into how our brains operate and learn. I leverage this knowledge to assist my fellow educators and administrators in enhancing their teaching techniques and strategies.
However, my mission is not just limited to imparting knowledge; I'm equally committed to creating an equitable learning environment for all. I'm determined to combat the systemic racism that still exists in our education system. As educators, it's our responsibility to keep evolving and improving our methods to ensure that everyone has an equitable opportunity to succeed.

Offerings
Curriculum Design
Are you tasked with creating a curriculum for a new course but not sure where to begin? I can help you get started!
Workshops
I can offer a range of resources and tools that cater to students and teachers across different levels, from elementary to graduate. These resources are highly practical and can be applied immediately, even as early as Monday morning.
Clinician
As a music educator I love working with students on their music making. I especially enjoy lifting up the young women in the room.
Professional Development
Meaningful professional development is so important for music educators, yet we are often at the mercy of district professional development that doesn’t address our specific needs. I can work with you and your department, or district, to create meaningful professional development experiences that are catered specifically toward your needs.
Here are some possible topics that we can explore. If you don’t see something on this list, let me know and we can make it work!
Curriculum Design
Curriculum design or curriculum review can be a daunting task for any educator, let alone the music educator who has over a hundred students, runs pep band, has marching shows, spring festivals, elementary musicals, and the list goes on and on. This is where I can come in and take the load off you and your music colleagues.
Some possible scenarios that I could assist you and your team:
Is there something else on here that you would like to explore? Please reach out and let’s chat!
Workshops
What can we do today that you can take back to your classroom on Monday? What new skills are you trying to improve or are curious to explore? Here are some past workshops I’ve given:
Let me know if you would like to pursue something that is not on this list. If I am unable to offer that workshop, I will find someone who is!
Clinician & Adjudicator
I love working with young musicians. They are a gift to the world and I would be honored to work with your musicians in a variety of settings. Here is some of the work I have done in the past:
We know it’s always good to bring in a set of fresh eyes and ears to work with our students. If you are interested in working with me, let’s connect!
